Disneyland Paris’ new Marvel hotel is a work of art
New York in Paris
The world’s first hotel dedicated to Marvel art has opened at Disneyland Paris in France. Officially titled “Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel”, it pays tribute to Marvel superheroes and the artists who created them. Here’s a look at the hotel’s design and the art on show inside.
The Art of Marvel is just a short walk away from the parks at Disneyland Paris. It celebrates the culture and energy of New York City, all in the style of a New York art gallery.
Collectors’ dream
There are more than 350 pieces of Marvel artwork on display, spanning both comics and movies. The art was created by more than 110 artists and will include around 50 exclusive pieces. It will be one of the largest collections of Marvel artwork in the world.
Life-size items
In the lobby guests are greeted by three life-size Iron Man suits, huge backlit comic panels, and Captain America shields.
Rooms and suites
There are 471 superior rooms, 65 Empire State club rooms and 25 suites dedicated to Spider-Man, the Avengers or other heroes from the Marvel universe. Every room features Marvel artworks, state-of-the art services and amenities such as an ultra-HD TV hiding in a wall mirror.
Stark’s style
The Art of Marvel presidential suites reflect Iron Man Tony Stark’s sophisticated and premium New York urban taste. They are designed over two floors and have elegant furnishings and exclusive Marvel artwork.
What’s on the menu?
There’s no shortage of food and beverage options on offer. On the menu are many New York specialties and a full range of Marvel-themed meals and drinks – for adults and kids alike. Downtown Restaurant (pictured) offers a “culinary journey through cosmopolitan New York” with dishes referencing Chinatown, Little Italy and American classics. Manhattan Restaurant serves a modern take on traditional Italian cuisine, Skyline Bar offers sleek cocktails and bites, and the Bleecker Street Lounge is a “subtle nod” to Doctor Strange and the Sanctum Sanctorum on Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village.
Selfies with Spidey
It’s not just the rooms and dining options to enjoy. Guests can take a selfie with Spider-Man at the Super Hero Station while at the Marvel Photo Station you can be immersed in Marvel movies such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Ant-Man, The Avengers, Thor, Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. Other hotel facilities include the Marvel Design Studio, Marvel Animators Bull Pen and the Hero Training Zone. See more at disneylandparis.com
