Farewell summer, but hello to fall – the traveler’s favorite season. As temperatures cool, plan a picnic with your partner, your besties, or maybe just yourself. The best time for dining al fresco is when the crowds have dissipated, and the leaves are starting to turn. Autumn brings spur of the moment, late leisurely lunches that can easily roll into happy hour—in parks, by lakes, or among the vines. So pack that picnic basket with freshly baked bread, creamy cheeses, ripe end-of-summer fruit, artisan salumi—and of course, a bottle of rosé—for that still-on-vacation vibe.
